For the documentary video I have decided to do it on a subject that is very meaningful to me:MDA. Now the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is a non-profit that its purpose is to help find cures and even treatments and/or services to aid families dealing with MD and many other neuromuscular diseases. My vision for the documentary is for the viewer to get a sense of what MDA means to me as well as other families.
I became involved with MDA because I felt like I had to keep my brothers fight alive. Before he passed away shortly after his 16th birthday, he struggled daily with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
My vision on how it will all come together is that we will interview myself, some of my teammates (I am a team captain for one of our local charity walks), the Health Services coordinator of our local MDA chapter and possibly a local family that deals with the struggles of MD every day. Aside from interviews we will also have footage from the day of the 2015 Muscle Walk. The MDA Muscle Walk is what we all like to call our victory lap for all the fundraising and hard work we put in throughout the year in working toward finding a “cure”. From each individual the goal is to again highlight the meaning of MDA. With having worked the Kathy Selking, HS Coordinator I have her already onboard with being

on camera as well as myself and some of my teammates. Another subject that I was looking to include was one of the local families that use the MDA services, due to medical reasons it may not work out butim still working on securing this one.
Editing wise I would like it to have clips of the interviews throughout with each person’s name and title. Then when there is not an interview clip I would like to see quotes or statements highlighted against a light colored background along with cuts to various photos and video from past and current events as well as some of the mementos that I have.

Possible interview questions:
1) How did you first become involved in MDA?
2) How many years exactly have you been with the company?
3) Does your job ever get emotionally hard to handle at times? How?
4) How would describe MDA in a sentence and/or few words?
5) Have you worked with other non-profits before?
6) When I say MDA, what comes to mind?
7) What is something new & exciting happening with MDA?
8) The MDA Muscle Walk, could you tell me what that is and how the families become involved?
9) What resources does MDA provide for local families whether it be medically or otherwise?
10) Have we left anything out that you like people to know about MDA and/or yourself?
