Narrative Pitch- DP

Narrative Pitch

Lighting
For the purposes of this project our group will be utilizing natural lighting for any of the outdoor scenes. Now for any indoor scenes like in the apartment or lab if need be we will use additional lighting for those instances.
Shot Framing
There will be lots of variety here because of the detailed script. In the beginning of Scene One when it opens it the scene of the classroom I plan to shoot some wide and closer shots. Wide shots will be the ones where we set up the scene and show the class. Once we focus on the student and the teacher individual those will likely be tight shots where it will show a portion of background but focused mainly on that individual in the shot. Before the close of that scene we will have the “DEADLINE” shot which it will just be a title slide with “DEADLINE” written on it. Scene Two opens with an outside shot which will start off wider than likely closer in as he “runs” to his apartment. As the scene progresses to the shot of the Word document it will have the shot of the computer with the Word document pulled up which I would like to have as an over-the-shoulder shot. For the scenes when the clock is shown it will be very tight shot with just the digital clock in focus. “Napping” scenes will be filmed in a dorm room with a wide shot length wise to accommodate the length of the bed so all of it will be in the shot. Scene 3 are going to coordinate with most of the others with the scenes of the alarm clock and any “napping” scenes.

Color

Throughout the video color will remain warm throughout most of it. Some cool colors will likely show in the outdoor scenes but indoor scenes in the dorm room will be warm. Warm colors for the indoor scenes will play to the height of the story for the purposes of the video.

Script:

Kayla: I’m ready to check out.

Amanda: What’s a good phone number or email for you?

Kayla: I rather not give that information out, what do you need it for anyway?

Amanda: We use your phone number or email to look you up in our system to see if you information is updated to receive coupons and/or notifications of our sales and special promotions going on.

Customer: Ok I guess I will for that because this is my first time in here and I really like what I found so I’m sure I’ll be back!

Amanda: Ok so I’ll start with either your phone number or email, whichever is easier?

Kayla: Email probably. Its kaylstew@iusb.edu.

Amanda: You also have the option of inputting your mailing address as well too. Did you want to do that or just stick with email today?

Kayla: I’ll stick with email.

Amanda: Ok (continues to ring up her purchases)

Kayla: I got some really good deals today! Is there any coupons so I get more off. (laughs)

Amanda: Sometimes we have online coupons you could google or you can even sign up for the rewards card.

Kayla: So how do I sign up for that?

Amanda: I just need a valid ID and card with a credit logo that’s serves as another form of ID.

Kayla: Awesome, hope I get approved!

Amanda: Alright I’ll swipe these and see where we go from here

Kayla: Ok

Amanda: Alright, says you were approved!

Kayla: Awesome, you just earned a new long time customer!

Amanda: That’s always good to here!
